I'm on a mission to take more photos this year, and document the more mundane parts of life, as well as the exciting parts, because life isn't all trips to New York and new lipsticks. Since I'm also making an effort to post more here, I thought I'd combine the two, with one Sunday post, with a photo from the week, and a little round up of what it's been like.
The first week of 2015 hasn't been the most groundbreaking, in fact, I've barely left the house. The literature review portion of my dissertation is due on the 13th, so until then I'm pretty much chained to my MacBook or Mac Pro, discussing the social implications of new media. I'm trying to break it up a little bit with scheduled trips out, or little things to look forward to (so far we've had a trip to Hobby Craft for scrapbook supplies, a cheeky Pizza Hut buffet for two, a trip to Lakeland for cookery bits and a pamper evening!) because I work better if I have something to look forward to! I've only got about 1600 words to go now, so hopefully I'll have a little more time next week to relax a little before going back to London on Friday! My boyfriend has his hand in on Tuesday so we're hopefully going to have a little day out at the end of the week in the countryside!
How has your week been?
Ah, the relief and sense of achievement you'll feel at the end will be magical. It's cool your boyfriend is going through the same thing so you can understand eachother.
ReplyDeleteI haven't left the house much due to a chest infection so I'm actually excited to go back to work tomorrow!
Good luck with your last 1600 words! x

I genuinely can't wait! Yeah that's the good thing, although it's hard because we are both on completely different work/sleep schedules! Oh no! I hope you feel much better, and enjoy being back at work! Thank you! xx
DeleteGood luck with your dissertation! I remember mine took pretty much 9 months to do - it was so energy-consuming! But when I handed it in it was such a good feeling. Mine was about facial attractiveness in relation to health (my degree was in psychology) and I really enjoyed doing it and reviewing the papers but it took such a long time and as I recall, it was about 16,000 words. Good luck hun!

Thanks Katie! It is and it's such a draining thing to do, I can do four or five hours and then I need a lie down! That actually sounds so interesting! Thank you! x
DeleteGood luck with the rest of your dissertation! You'll have to treat yourself to a nice little haul afterwards!
