5 Things: Making Your Makeup Last Longer

  1. Use a gel based moisturiser. It'll absorb faster and won't leave a residue on your skin. I like the Origins Ginzing!
  2. Primer. Primer. Primer. Prime everything. Your skin, your eyelids, your lips. It almost acts as a glue, keeping your makeup on your face. I love the Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer, Smashbox Photo Finish Lid Primer & Charlotte Tilbury Lip Liner.
  3. Buff everything in, and when you think you're done, buff it again. Taking the time to really press your makeup into your skin means it'll stick around much longer.
  4. Set your cream products with powder products. A pretty cream blush will last a thousand times longer if there's a powder blush over the top, or a little translucent powder.
  5. Less is more. Overload your face with product and it's more likely to drop off. Go for a lighter coverage foundation and build it up in layers slowly, don't go all in with a ton of product at once.
