For the longest time, I couldn't find a foundation in the aisles of Boots and Superdrug that I got on with, but that's not the case anymore! These days I've got a whole drugstore base wardrobe that covers my every base requirement!
First up, the L'Oreal True Match Foundation, my day to day go to. I've got this in two shades (1.R and 2.R) so that I can always get the perfect shade. It's got a really lightweight texture that's easy to blend, yet it still has a good medium coverage. It's a great everyday go to.
Another L'Oreal offering, I reach for the Infallible 24h Foundation on days when my skin feels dry or in need of a little TLC. It's hydrating without being overly dewy, and it's creamy and light to apply. This doesn't give quite as much coverage as the True Match, but it is a touch more natural looking! Pale girls this ones for you, the shade 015 is incredibly light!
For days when I need more coverage, I'm all about Rimmel's Match Perfection Foundation. Good coverage that doesn't look cakey, and doesn't take an age to blend either. My one gripe with this is the smell, but it disappears after a few minutes so I can overlook it (although, I do worry about what's in it with a smell like that!).
For minimal makeup days, nothing rivals the Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream. Just a hint of sheer coverage to even out my skintone, but unlike most drugstore offerings, this doesn't disappear after a couple of hours on the skin.
And lastly, the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum is my go to for when I want to feel good about my skin. Medium coverage and a not-matte-but-not-too-dewy-either finish, this just looks like good skin in a bottle.
