I'm really not the sort of person who touches up their makeup on the go, the most I usually carry is my lip pick of choice for the day. This comes down to the fact that I am a fundamentally lazy person, I can't be bothered with faffing around with makeup in the middle of the day, and I'm pretty forgetful too, so on the odd ocassion I carry any other makeup around I usually forget to use it. However, since the new year I've put together a selection of beauty products that really work as touch ups, and that I have actually been using a lot. The theme here is easy and fast, which makes sense since you know... I'm pretty lazy!
The first product that I've been toting about is the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer. I really like this as a concealer anyway, but the reason I've been carrying it around is because it actually layers really well over foundation and powder. There are a lot of concealers that really don't work well if you apply them later in the day after your makeup, they can end up looking cakey and unnatural, but this definitely doesn't. It's great for touching up over spots, or under eyes, but it's also super handy if I'm going out after uni and have been wearing my glasses all day! My glasses always rub off the foundation on the bridge of my nose, leaving red marks, but this covers them up a treat!
Powder isn't something I always apply in the morning, but sometimes by the middle of the day I feel like I need it. Powder again however, is something I find can look cakey if you apply it in the middle of the day, however I've been carrying the L'Oreal Nude BB Powder, which is one of the most lightweight powders I've ever used. It's incredibly finely milled but it does still offer a tiny amount of coverage, enough to disguise any redness that appears in my skin throughout the day. The compact has a little mirror which is really handy, and it also came with a sponge, which I actually quite like for pressing powder into my skin, it still looks quite natural.
Particularly at the moment, my lips are really dry, so I've been carrying around my Maybelline Baby Lips in Cherry Velvet, a really sweet smelling lip balm that's somewhat creamier than the standard Baby Lips formula.
In the theme of easy products, I've been carrying around my Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge in Fresh Melon, a beautiful peach shade. This is great because I can use it to perk up my cheeks and add some colour, but I can also use it on my lips. It can be a little drying on the lips, but as long as I apply lip balm first, it's just fine!
Something I've recently started carrying around is the Kiko Eyeshadow in 130, which is a shimmery champagne shadow. This is super handy because I can use it as an eyeshadow if mine is starting to look a little worse for wear, or under my brow bone and on top of my cheeks as a highlight.
I also tend to carry around an eyeliner, this one is the Smashbox eyeliner in Graphite, a deep slate grey, which I use a lot if I'm going out after uni, just to add a bit of definition around my eyes. I find this makes a massive difference to how awake I look!
Also in the bag are a handful of cotton buds, handy for any applying lipstick on the tubes errors, or if my mascara smudges under my eye (which happens a lot because I forget I'm wearing makeup and rub my eyes). I can also use this to blend out my eyeliner for a smokier look in seconds.
And lastly, I have a little Sephora Mango Body Mist, to freshen up on the go!
What beauty bumf do you carry around with you?
