Last week I finally got to meet the amazing Daphne. We've been chatting on twitter for ages, and finally agreed to meet up for burgers, but definitely no shopping. So that worked. After burgers we headed to Oxford Street, since she thought it was criminal that I'd lived in London for 18 months and never tried Ben's Cookies, but we got pulled in by the shops, and I ended up picking up a few bits.
First off we headed into & Other Stories in the hope of swatching some of The Balm's blushes, but it turns out that they are no longer stocking them, a shame since as far as I'm aware that was the only UK stockist, so all future purchases will have to be made online. While we were there we got sniffing the body products and I ended up picking up the Ginger Wishes hand cream, I've been after a hand cream with a pump to keep on my desk for ages, and this one smells incredible, like ginger and lime. I also ended up picking up a nail polish in the shade Stonewashed Jeans, a gorgeous slightly pearlescent powder blue, the shade I am currently obsessed with.
We then popped into the Kiko Store on Regent Street for a browse. I've been to the Westfield store a couple of times, but never to this one, in fact, I've only ever purchased Kiko products in Italy. The prices are a little more expensive here, the price in euro is the same in pounds, but most of there stuff is still crazy cheap. I was over the moon to see that the UK stores are finally stocking the Kiss Balms, I have one that I got in Milan in September that I love, but they didn't have them here when I went to get more last year. I ended up getting the shade Tutti Frutti, a pretty sheer coral that smells incredible. I love these, they're incredibly creamy, hydrating lip balms, with a hint of colour.
I also finally caved and picked up two of the Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadows, in the shades 06 and 25. One is a gorgeous bronze, and the other a shimmery taupe that makes my heart flutter (sad isn't it). I'm so impressed with these, the lasting power is amazing, I swatched them on my hand in store (around 4pm) and they were still intact when I was getting ready for bed (around 11pm).
And lastly, I popped into Lush to pick up another Comforter Bubble Bar. I've been struggling with hip problems the last few weeks and definitely feel like I deserve my favourite bubble bar for a few soothing baths.
If you guys haven't already make sure you check out Daphne's Blog, it's amazing and I can tell you, this is the start of a beauuuuuutiful friendship.
You guys as of late are giving me delusional fantasies of flying out to London just so I can shop with you guys. ;-;THAT KIKO LIPSTICK SWATCH THO
