I'm pretty fussy when it comes to concealer. I don't like cakey, but I want good coverage, and I always struggle to find a good colour match. Recently however, I've found a concealer duo that works really well for me.
The MAC Mineralize Concealer is something I've had in my collection for quite a while now, but I never really used it that much until recently. I think I bought it and then decided it was too yellow toned for me, but actually I find that makes it slightly brightening. I've been loving using this under my eyes, I like to apply it in an upside down triangle under my eyes, and blend it out with the Real Techniques Contour Brush. I find it gives a good medium coverage, and the yellow tone brightens up my dark circles fantastically. I also occasionally take this down the centre of my nose as a subtle highlight.
So whilst this is perfect for my under eyes, it's not all that great for concealing blemishes. For that, I haven't found anything that compares to the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer, which isn't all that radiant but is very creamy. I put a tiny amount of this on any blemishes, and then pat it in to my skin, or on any areas where I'm prone to redness, and I blend it out with the same brush. I find that although this is really creamy, it sets well and stays put for the day. The coverage is amazing, it covers everything. I originally used this under my eyes as well, and if I have particularly dark circles I still do, but day to day I find it a bit much, plus it's not cheap!
The two of these have been working amazingly for me, and I've barely touched any of my other concealers! What are your favourite concealers?
