The Drugstore Edit: Kiko Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadow

Cast your minds back to last Thursday, and the little haul prompted by a shopping trip with the lovely Daphne. I picked up two of the Kiko Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadows. Think something along the likes of the Rimmel Scandaleyes Eyeshadow Sticks, or the By Terry Ombre Blackstar. What we're dealing with is an incredibly creamy stick formula, that sets down totally waterproof after a few seconds.

I picked up two, shade 06, a gorgeous shimmery bronze, and 25, the perfect taupe. 06 is a warm bronze with a fine shimmer running through. It's pretty shimmery, but it's a lot more subtle than the glitter in the Rimmel offering. Whilst this colour is in the same vein as the Maybelline Colour Tattoo in On and on Bronze, and the Rimmel Shadow Stick in Bad Girl Bronze. As for 25, this could just be my favourite eye shade ever. It's a true taupe shade, a grey with a hint of silver and grey. I've been pairing this with my NARS Ashes to Ashes Eyeshadow, and it looks gorgeous.

As far as formula goes, I love these. Granted, drawing on your eyes with a pencil feels massively weird, but it means the colour is really intense. I just draw this over my lid, and then take a coarse bristled brush to blend our the edges. These claim to last eight hours, but from what I've tried, they stay put all day no problem! These look great on their own or as a base for shadows, a great option for fuss free makeup!

I know there aren't massive amounts of Kiko stores about, but you can order everything online, and their website is great. These came in at £4.90 each which as far as I'm concerned is a bargain! I totally love these, and would wholeheartedly recommend them!

Have you tried anything from Kiko?
