I've not really been buying much in the way of beauty bits over the last couple of months, after a big beauty clear out I've been loving what I've got, and a more minimal stash. However, there were a couple of bits I've had my eye on for a while, spring updates to my beauty bag, and a little splurge that will fill all my tool needs for forever more.
Let's start with the skincare bits! I picked up a second bottle of the Soap and Glory Make Yourself Youthful Sunshield Superfluid SPF50. I used an entire bottle of this last summer, it's my favourite facial SPF. Doesn't feel sticky, clog the pores or disrupt makeup. It's essentially perfect. I also picked up a mini bottle of the Pai Chamomile & Rosehip Calming Day Cream, I figured this would be the perfect size for travel, and keeping in my makeup bag for trips back home, and I wanted to try a bit more from Pai!
I've picked up two blushes over the past few weeks, one powder and one cream. I've been after another Stila Convertible Colour for a while, I have the shade Lillium already and I love it, the perfect nudey peach blush. The formula of these is fantastic, so creamy and natural looking on the skin. I ended up picking up the shade Petunia in the ASOS beauty sale with 30% off, a pretty pink that looks pretty perfect for summer. I also picked up one of the Natural Collection Blushes in Rosy Glow, for £1.99 these blushes are seriously amazing, soft, buttery smooth and really pigmented. Sure the packaging is a little crappy, and they aren't the longest lasting blushes in the world, but for the price tag there are no complaints here.
I mentioned the Nails Inc Polishes in Bloomsbury Way & White Horse Street in yesterday's post, another ASOS 30% off sale purchase. I just wanted to point you in the direction of this set on ASOS, it's such good value for money if you've been eyeing up the polishes, even without the 30% off sale.
And lastly, a little bit of a splurge. I've had my eye on the Zoeva Rose Gold Brush Set for the longest night, but didn't want to spend out for it. But after chucking out a few brushes that weren't quite doing it for me, and identifying a few gaps in my brush collection, I used a 10% Beauty Bay code (MISSYOU10) to finally pick them up. And I have to say, I absolutely love them. Whilst they seem like a bit of a splurge to start with, the price per brush is really low, and the brush quality is fantastic. You don't really need any other brushes! Also, I love shopping on Beauty Bay, since they have free next day delivery!
