Despite having 'trimmed the fat' from my makeup collection, so to speak, I still find that I forget about products from time to time, only to rediscover them later. It's quite nice, in a way, when that happens, because I get to fall in love with them all over again!
Benefit's That Gal Primer was one of my first high end purchases, back when I started uni and fell into the world of makeup. I loved it, for a good six months or so, before moving on to something else, and kind of relinquishing it to the back of the drawer. Since then I've used it sporadically, but over the last month I've kind of fallen for it all over again. Whilst it doesn't really prolong the wear of your makeup, it really brightens the complexion, giving it a natural glow, without looking glittery or too much. It's the perfect accompaniment to those light spring bases I'm favouring right now.
I had an allergic reaction to a product at the end of last month, that left me with one of the worst breakouts I've had in a while across my jawline. You'd never have known though, thanks to the MAC Studio Finish Concealer, which I found in the bottom of my Muji Stash. This stuff is incredibly pigmented and long lasting, totally perfect for breakouts and redness.
The Marc Jacobs Lolita Palette is a thing of absolute beauty, but I definitely neglected it throughout the winter. The palette is mostly made up of lighter colours, making it perfect for spring, but I tend to prefer something darker in the cooler months. Now that the weather's warming up, I've been reaching for it again, and I just adore it. It's the perfect palette for creating that 'naturally beautiful' makeup look. Soft, buttery pigmented shadows, with a gorgeous finish.
And finally a perfume mention! My sister bought me the Vera Wang Lovestruck Fragrance for my birthday last year, and I absolutely adore it. I'm not normally a fan of floral scents, but this one combines the floral scents with rich, fruity guava. It's the perfect spring summer fragrance, it's so light, refreshing and sexy. I'm hooked on it right now!
