On April 24th Lush opened the doors to it's brand new Oxford Street flagship store, a store unlike any others. Lush is a brand close to my heart, with humble beginnings in my home town, and an array of body products to swoon at, so I made a note to pop down as soon as possible.
I was out on date night with The Boy on Thursday when we strolled past the store, and decided to have a peak inside. I can honestly say I was somewhat overwhelmed and definitely blown away. Spread across three floors, the store is a veritable mecca for Lush fans, with a staggering 220 products exclusive to the store. Extensions to the already substantial lines, new bubble bar scents and Fun colours, as well as brand new products, bath oils and hand masks to name but a few.
Upstairs is home to a range of bath delights and even a Fun modelling station, the basement is home to the Spa, perfumes and body bars, whilst the ground floor holds everything else.
Without realising we managed to while away an hour in the store, we were treated to a hand scrub and massage, had a private tour of the perfume gallery, and spent a lot of time chatting to various members of staff about the store and the new products.
I particularly loved the perfume gallery, seeing and hearing about all the stories behind each of Lush's signature scents, there's even a photobooth hidden inside, and a mini beach scene that reminded me of home. All the staff were incredibly friendly and chatty, happy to talk about the products and the store to no end, and never pressuring you to buy a single thing. The best kind of staff I'm sure you'll agree.
This is definitely more of a concept store, an experience as opposed to a normal shop. You could easily while away hours, visiting the gallery, the spa, having a hair treatment at Hair Lab, modelling Fun and learning about the products!
I somehow managed to leave with just three things, but I'll definitely be popping back for the hand scrub and cream we tried, my hands felt amazing! I picked things up based on staff recommendations, and I'll report back how I get on!
If you're in London, I'd definitely recommend checking out the store!
