I was never much of a bronzer gal until a couple of years ago, I always equated bronzers with oompa loompa tans and dodgy orange jawlines, something I didn't aspire to achieve in my beauty regime.
It was only after caving to the NARS Laguna hype back in mid 2013 that I started to understand the bronzer thing. Laguna is an undeniably fantastic bronzer, not to muddy, just warming and really long lasting on the skin, I fell in love hard and fast. Whilst I've since moved on to other bronzers, I still come back to Laguna in the summer months, when I've got a bit more colour in my skin and I'm looking for that golden glow.
For a more everyday look when you're as pale as I am, it doesn't get much better than The Body Shop's Honey Bronzer. This stuff is seriously light, so not great if you're after a dramatic look, but for a subtle everyday hint of bronze, it's utterly perfect. The formula is great too, you can't go overboard with this stuff, no matter how heavy handed you are. Such an easy product to use, and I love the packaging!
For something with a little bit more bite, but still on the subtle side of things, I'm currently head over heels for the Makeup Forever Pro Fusion Bronzer. Aside from the gorgeous embossing on the powder, this stuff is really quite fantastic. Not so pigmented that you end up with muddy cheeks, this stuff is the epitome of golden glow, it's the perfect shade for me, and it's my current go to.
And lastly, a slightly more affordable option that I really rate, the Revlon Matte Highlighting Palette in Desert Bronze. This is probably the most pigmented of the lot, so a light hand is good here, but the formula is fantastic, and I love that you can kind of customise the colour by selectively picking up product from different strips. This bronzer is kind of a one sweep wonder for the cheeks, even without highlight or blush it really transforms the cheeks and makes you look sculpted and glowy in one fell swoop.
