Value For Money

Sometimes you come across a product that just keeps on going and going, and you really get your money's worth. It's such a good feeling when that happens, it makes up for all the products that vanish way too fast (cough cough, Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer)

The product that got me thinking about all this stuff was the MAC Brush Cleanser. At £11 this seemed like a bit of a splurge when I bought it, but I've had the thing nearly two years now and I've still got buckets left. It's such a handy product to have about, I've even decanted a little into a mini spray bottle for travel. Yes, there are probably cheaper alternatives out there, but would they last as long?

On a similar note, I've been using my Frank Cacao Body Scrub twice a week since Christmas and it just won't seem to die. It's a glorious product, made with natural skin nourishing ingredients, it leaves your skin soft and your bathroom smelling lovely. £10 for one pack seems like a lot for something that, quite literally, goes down the drain, but the sucker just won't die.

Lush bath bombs seem pretty reasonable with their change from a fiver price tag and the pretty sparkly colours, but when you consider they only stretch to one bath, it's another example of money going down the drain. The large Lush Bubble Bars however, Brightside and The Comforter are much better value for money. Sure, you get a little less change from your fiver, but these things will spread to five or six baths (depending on how harsh your water is), and they smell bloody lovely.

I've got a few skincare products from Origins in my stash, and whilst it's definitely a brand on the pricier side of things, everything I have just lasts forever. In particular, the Checks and Balances Foaming Face Wash, and the Clear Improvement Face mask, These are products that I use all the time, and yet they just don't seem to be disappearing!

And last but not least, my all time favourite hand cream from Caudalie has a stinger of a price tag when you consider other options out there, but despite daily use since I purchased this on Christmas Eve, I've still got over half the tube left. I love this so much that I've now got a mini tube for my handbag too!

Do you have any products that just keep on going and going?
