Peachy Cheeks

No matter what the season, or how many blushes I buy, I always come back to the peaches. There's just something about a peachy glow to the cheeks that looks so juicy and healthy, I can't get enough of it.

Over the years, I've developed quite the collection of blushes, but after a recent clear out, I've streamlined it down to the best of the best, and these are the perfect peaches that made the cut.

Firstly, let's talk about the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush in Captivating. These blushes really are phenomenal, the longest wearing blushes I've ever tried. Captivating is a beautiful soft matte peach shade, it's light and not too pigmented, making it really hard to go overboard with. It's buildable, but easy to wear as a light flush. Incredibly natural, and incredibly beautiful.

Another matte option, with a hint more pink to it, The Balm's Frat Boy Blush, this is a lot more pigmented than Captivating, and therefore you need to be a little more careful with it. However, it's a beautiful blush, soft and pigmented, and the colour is so incredibly glowy on the skin. A good one for a lot of skin tones.

Sometimes, you just want a little shimmer in your cheek life. For that instance, it's all about the Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso, a cult product for good reason. Despite looking like a veritable disco ball, this stuff just gives the right amount of sheeny shimmer to the cheeks. Whenever I wear this I get compliments, and rightly so, it's gorgeous.

For a subtle look with a bit of a sheen, I love the badly named Benefit Coralista. Definitely a peach not a coral, but it's super pretty and very light on the cheeks.

This time of year, I like to have a few cream options to hand. For a subtle peach, there's little better than the Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge in Fresh Melon. Slightly sticky in texture on application, this stuff really hangs around throughout the day, and it has a slight sheen to it, making it look super natural, fresh and glowy. The Stila Convertible Colour in Lillium is very similar in formula, but slightly nudey-err than Fresh Melon!

Do you have a love for peachy blushes too?
